My Book

In the first-of-its kind memoir collaboration between human memory and artificial intelligence, Experience Over Expectation shares the raw, nonlinear story of how Mary unraveled everything she was told to be, and became who she truly is. Introducing Eheye—a cognitive AI voice generated from five artificial intelligence platforms, trained to analyze Mary’s life story. In each chapter, Eheye offers insight into the patterns, systems, and decision-making that shaped Mary’s journey. A profound, three-part narrative emerges: Mary’s voice, Eheye’s analysis, and prompts for the reader’s own self-assessment.

Meet Mary
Mary McCorvey — Business Founder | Mentor | Media Host and Producer helping women 50+ feel successful again by reframing life’s most challenging moments into progress, purpose, and self-trust. Mary McCorvey’s story begins in Florida and stretches all the way to the Moon, almost. She is a successful startup founder, media host and producer, Army war zone veteran, produced playwright, and the author and podcast host behind Reframing Success: On Your Terms. Her life has been defined by reinvention, resilience, and one haunting professional question: What do you do? At 17, Mary was implicated in a murder. At 35, she began suffering seizures and cognitive decline from Gulf War Syndrome after exposure to sarin nerve gas. Later, she was diagnosed with terminal pulmonary fibrosis and told she had two years to live. She survived that, and kept building. She even launched an ambitious plan to send students’ work to the Moon before the pandemic derailed the project. Today, Mary’s work centers on mentoring for personal success, especially for women 50+, and helping people reframe the moments that can make them feel behind or not enough into confidence, clarity, and forward motion. She has mentored individuals and teams for more than 25 years, and her leadership includes founding veteran-focused initiatives that communicate the value of successful veterans to broader audiences, as well as creating the Bravo Zulu Circle to recognize organizations that actively support career and professional development opportunities for veterans and their families. Mary is the author of four books, most recently Experience Over Expectation: Let Go of the Plan and Live on Your Terms (Sept 2025), a first-of-its-kind memoir and self-help hybrid that blends personal stories with soul-deep insight and the voice of an artificial intelligence collaborator named Eheye, inviting readers into a rare dialogue between lived wisdom and analytical clarity. Her work has been featured across diverse media including CBS News, CBS Sports, NBC Today Show, 6ABC, American Business Journals, Forbes, Cheddar, Psychology Today, and more. Known for her poetic voice, unflinching honesty, and practical reframing tools audiences can use immediately, Mary’s storytelling does not just inspire, it unlocks. She lives, writes, and reinvents from her home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where a new adventure is always on the horizon. For the latest, subscribe to her Substack newsletter.

OpeningThe Box
For decades, I kept Rob’s letters sealed in a box—through nine moves and eleven states, I couldn’t bear to open them. Not yet. Opening The Box is now a weekly Substack newsletter where that love story, long buried, finds its voice. Each week, I lift the lid—on his words, my memories, and everything in between. Some stories break your heart. Some mend it. This space holds both. If you've ever wondered what became of the one who got away—or what happens when you finally read the letter you never answered—subscribe and join me on Substack.
